Tarek Fatyani
Tarek Fatyani came to Japan from Syria in 2010. He got his master and PH.D. degrees in Industrial Engineering and Management from Tokyo Institute of Technology. While he was a student he formed his company in Japan SMAGROUP to build a bridge between the Japanese and Arab world industries. Besides his academic achievement and work experience in the industry, his passion for art grew with him since he was a kid by learning Arabic calligraphy. After coming to Japan, he started teaching Japanese Arabic calligraphy. Currently, he is representing the International Association for Arabic Calligraphy and Islamic Illumination (IAACII) in Japan. Till now, he gave more than 100 lectures about Arabs in Japanese trying to harmonize the relationships between Arabs and Japanese.
